Update on plugs

I think I was not quite right. I have a new hypothesis.

(Some of) the sockets are designed to take european plugs. In fact
2-prong plugs here seem to look like european. The same socket that
takes the big honky 3-prong plugs also takes the euro-sized plugs. The
trick is that you have to push harder than you expect. Apparently the
things that look like shutters are at last partly there to make a
tighter connection with the skinnier two-prongers. The trouble is, they
don't all have these tighter connections.

But a european thing might work or might not. Depends.

John R. said that he had a swis-army-knive like adaptor from Staples
that worked well in India last year.
